This month’s pet focus is on Buddy, an 8-year-old Lab-Poodle mix.
Both Labradors and Poodles are known for being very friendly and affectionate with everyone they meet. Both breeds are also known for their people-pleasing nature, making them very trainable. Labs and Poodles are both active and intelligent breeds, requiring regular exercise and mental stimulation to prevent them from resorting to destructive or disruptive behaviours, such as excessive chewing or barking.
Buddy embodies many of the qualities of both of these breeds! His parents note that he is a very friendly and obedient dog who loves to be around people and always appreciates a pat. He looks forward to his twice-daily dog walks and is especially fond of visiting the dog park, where he can run freely off-leash.
In between adventures, Buddy enjoys napping on the couch or at the end of the bed.
Buddy is approaching his senior years and is beginning to experience some health problems, though his parents note that he is doing very well overall. He has diabetes and is beginning to go blind in one eye. His parents mentioned that he has a strong appetite but has lost some weight due to his diabetes.
Because of Buddy’s diabetes, a consistent feeding routine is essential to help keep his blood sugar even. Buddy’s parents started him on Rollover based on a recommendation from their local pet store, and he loves it– especially the chicken flavour! They mix Rollover’s Premium Chicken Dog Food with a wet chicken food for Buddy’s meals three times daily.
Rollover’s all-natural, sliceable soft foods mix well with other foods, including kibble, to make meals more enticing for dogs. It can also be served as a complete meal.
When he’s a good boy (which is often!), Buddy appreciates receiving Rollover treats as a token of appreciation!
We love hearing how much your pets love Rollover! If you’d like us to highlight your pet in the future, fill out this brief questionnaire to tell us about them and why they love Rollover. We appreciate your support!
