This month’s pet focus is on Molly, a 6-year-old Shih Tzu.
Shih Tzus are charming, affectionate, and lively little dogs known for their luxurious, flowing coats and friendly demeanour.
While they have moderate energy levels, Shih Tzus enjoy their fair share of playtime and short walks but are equally content lounging around and snuggling with their owners. These compact companions are brimming with personality and often described as playful and sweet-natured.
Historically, they were bred to be companion dogs, and their outgoing and friendly personalities make them wonderful pets for folks of all ages.
Shih Tzus are often beloved for their bold personalities, and Molly is no exception!
Her mama describes her as a “princess,” saying she will only drink from a cup! What’s more, Molly prefers a lifestyle of luxury and relaxation (as any princess would!). Often opting for walks in her stroller rather than using her capable little legs.
Molly doesn’t typically eat dog food, but sampled Rollover on a whim and was immediately won over! It’s the only dog food that Molly will eat!
She is a big fan of Rollover’s Beef and Spinach Functional Dog Food. It is made from Spinach blended with Alberta Beef organ meats, making it nutrient-dense and rich in protein. It also contains Vitamins A, B, and K, beta-carotene, iron, and antioxidants. Spinach can also promote canine immune health!
About 9.5% of Shih Tzus suffer from periodontal disease (inflammation of the gums and teeth). This condition can be prevented by tooth brushing and providing chews for dogs to scrape plaque from their teeth naturally. A nutritious, protein-rich diet supports oral health and prevents periodontal disease, so Molly is on the right track with her Beef & Spinach food!
Molly’s affinity for Rollover’s Gourmet Crunchy Biscuits is sure to support her oral health, too! These hard treats are made from Rollover’s sliceable food, sliced into disks and baked to create a satisfying crunch. Aside from being delicious and nutritious, crunchy biscuits support oral health by scraping plaque from a dog’s teeth as they chew!
We love hearing how much your pets love Rollover! If you’d like us to highlight your pet in the future, fill out this brief questionnaire to tell us about them and why they love Rollover. We appreciate your support!
